BEst way to redirect from expired domain name?

I was on holiday recently and stupidly allowed my domain name registration to expire. It has since been "bought" by a domain re-seller and they are asking for a minimum of $200 for it.

I have a replacement domain and the site is live again, however all the incoming links are pointed to the old domain name - any suggestions?

There is nothing to do since they are the only ones to do anything with it. You can contact them and ask to redirect for a few days and make sure all your visitors know that there's a new site. He may do it.

You need a service whch supports forwarding domains. Something like: http://www.goldpuma.com.

  1. You can still wait for your domain name to be sold to someone else and then contact the new registrant for a bargain. Maybe he/she would sell it for a lesser cost. You can get the contact details of a domain name holder by having a whois lookup at WhoisXY.com Good luck.
