How long does it take before an expired domain name becomes available?

I am looking to buy an expired domain name, how long does it take to become available for re-purchase by a different person?.


usually asap if it is not re-registered the domain register will be looking to make money on that particular domain.

You go through an agent to get a domain - get the agent to register it for you ASAP. If it's expired and the owner isn't renewing it's available now. But the registrar works on a first come - first served basis - so get in and grab it.

    The time taken for an expired domain name to become available again for registration depends upon the the domain name's registrar. normally it may take 45 days to get it back for registration.
    Next time, if you really like a domain name, don't wait till it expires. Better contact the domain name holder for a bargain. You can get the contact details of a domain name holder by having a whois lookup at WhoisXY.com Good luck.
